Teresa Ling holds a Master of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis from Western New England University in Massachusetts (MA), United States. She is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), with a total of 12 years experience working with individuals with ASD in Malaysia as well as in the United States.
She started her journey in 2010 working as a behavior therapist in a learning center for children with autism, located in Petaling Jaya. In 2015, she started her new job as a graduate assistant/level 2 teacher for children with autism at The New England Center for Children (NECC) in MA. During her time in NECC, she implemented numerous curricula and behavior plans for her case students in collaboration with behavior specialists; administered assessments and adjusted interventions/programming accordingly; and wrote a part of her students’ Individualized Educational Plan (IEP). She was awarded with “The Myrna E. Libby Scholar Award 2017: Research guides the education and treatment of individuals with autism and so improves their lives”.
Apart from that, she was given extensive opportunities to participate and make contributions in research, under the guidance of her mentor, Chata Dickson (BCBA-D). She had been provided with great opportunities to participate in conferences. She presented a poster at the 37th Annual Conference of Berkshire Association for Behavior Analysis and Therapy (BABAT), Amherst, MA in 2016. In 2019, she presented a symposium at the 45th Annual Convention of Association for Behavior Analysis International (ABAI), Chicago, Illinois. She has acquired extensive experience working with ASD individuals in an age range from 2- 24 years; focusing on early intervention, academic skills as well as job coaching in community settings. She is currently providing one-on-one ABA services, intensive parent training, and consultations for children with ASD and related disorders.
