Teresa Ling

Teresa Ling, BCBA, MCBA is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and Co-Founder of The ABA Project. Since beginning her career in behavior analysis in 2010, Teresa has been dedicated to improving the lives of autistic individuals and their families through compassionate, meaningful, and personalized intervention.

She earned her Master of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis from Western New England University in the United States and became a BCBA in 2018. Her clinical experience includes early intervention, severe challenging behaviour, functional assessment, communication and language development, AAC implementation, school readiness, parent coaching, and staff training. Teresa is passionate about translating research into practical strategies that create meaningful, lasting outcomes for the individuals and families she serves.

In addition to her clinical work, Teresa is committed to advancing the profession of behavior analysis throughout the region. She currently serves as President of the Malaysia Association of Behavior Analysis (MABA) and actively promotes professional development through education, mentorship, and collaborative initiatives.

As Co-Founder of The ABA Project, Teresa has helped grow the organisation from a home-based practice into a trusted ABA provider known for high-quality, family-centred services. Under her leadership, The ABA Project has been recognised with the Parents’ Choice Award for two consecutive years, reflecting its commitment to clinical excellence, compassionate care, and meaningful outcomes for every family.

Teresa believes that every individual deserves the opportunity to learn, communicate, and thrive. Her mission is to empower children, families, and professionals by combining evidence-based practice with empathy, collaboration, and respect for each person’s unique strengths and needs.

Carmen Kong

Carmen Kong is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with a Master of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis from Western New England University in Massachusetts (MA), United States. She started working with the neurodiverse population in Malaysia from 2013-2016, conducting early intervention 1-1 sessions with clients aged 3-9.

Here, she focused mainly on pre-learning skills, communication skills, toilet training, small group teaching, self-help skills, case management and staff training. She was then recruited as a graduate assistant/level 2 teacher with the New England Center For Children (NECC) in Massachusetts while completing her masters studies in the field. In the 4 years at NECC, she worked with residential clients aged 9-15 with severe injurious and aggressive behaviors in a 1-1 to 1-3 grouped setting. At NECC, she focused mainly on leading and training staff on clinical projects to help clients with injurious behavior reduction, increasing communication skills, self-help skills, vocational skills, and social skills. Coming back to Malaysia, Carmen aims to expand ABA services, skills and knowledge to increase ethical and quality services for our neurodiverse learners as well advocate for stronger and better neurodiverse rights that are severely lacking here in Malaysia.

Soo Sean

Co-Owner, Chief Operating Officer

Soo Sean is the Chief Operating Officer and Co-Owner of The ABA Project, where she oversees operations, service delivery, and strategic management across the organisation. She is passionate about building systems and teams that prioritise quality, integrity, and meaningful outcomes for children and families, believing that sustainable growth should never come at the expense of personalised care and clinical excellence.

With a background spanning psychology, mental health, special education, and Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), Soo Sean brings a multidisciplinary perspective to operational leadership. She holds a Master of Science in Health Psychology from Northumbria University, United Kingdom, a Diploma in Education (Special Needs) from the College of Allied Educators, Singapore, and is credentialed as an Applied Behavior Analysis Technician (ABAT) by the Qualified Applied Behavior Analysis Credentialing Board (QABA).

As COO, Soo Sean leads the organisation with a strong emphasis on service quality, staff development, clinical accountability, and family experience. She works closely with clinical teams to ensure that every child receives individualised, and evidence-based support while maintaining the high standards of care that define The ABA Project. She firmly believes that meaningful outcomes are achieved not by serving the greatest number of families, but by serving each family exceptionally well.

Since beginning her career in 2015, Soo Sean has supported children with diverse neurodevelopmental needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), dyslexia, speech and language delays, and specific learning disorders. Having worked with children and families from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds, she values culturally responsive and family-centred practices and is committed to fostering collaborative partnerships that support each child’s developmental journey.

Her mission is to empower children, families, and professionals through evidence-based practice, empathy, collaboration, and an unwavering commitment to quality over quantity.

Audrey Ooi

Behavior Consultant

Audrey Ooi is a Qualified Behaviour Analyst (QBA) with a Master’s degree in Applied Behaviour Analysis from Monash University, Australia. Since entering the field in 2015, she has worked with neurodiverse individuals aged 3 to 21 years and currently serves as a Senior Behaviour Analyst at The ABA Project.

Audrey’s clinical interests include building therapeutic rapport, developing joint attention and early learning skills, and mentoring therapists and supervisors. Her practice is guided by evidence-based behavioural interventions and a commitment to supporting meaningful and individualised outcomes for the individuals and families she serves.

Beyond her clinical work, Audrey is a part-time lecturer at Sunway University and a seasonal instructor for Qualified Behaviour Analyst (QBA) certification courses, where she is passionate about supporting the development of future behaviour analysts and advancing professional standards within the field.

Audrey also serves on the Board of Directors of the Malaysian Association of Behaviour Analysis as an Ahli Jawatankuasa (AJK), contributing to the promotion of ethical, evidence-based, and high-quality behaviour analytic practices in Malaysia.

Outside of her professional roles, Audrey enjoys exploring how the principles of behaviour analysis can be applied beyond the clinical setting to areas such as sport, education, and everyday life. She believes that meaningful progress, whether in learning, performance, or personal growth, is achieved through small, consistent steps over time.

Thurga Ravindran

Thurga Ravindran is a dedicated Behaviour Analyst at The ABA Project who holds a Master’s degree in Applied Behaviour Analysis from Sunway University, Malaysia and has over five years of experience supporting children and adolescents with diverse developmental and behavioural needs. She has worked extensively with individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and speech and language delays, serving clients between the ages of 2 and 16 years.

Throughout her career, Thurga has developed expertise across a broad range of developmental domains, including communication, social interaction, adaptive living skills, and behaviour management. Her clinical approach is grounded in evidence-based Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) practices and is tailored to meet the unique strengths and needs of each individual she supports.

Thurga is committed to delivering personalised, compassionate, and client-centred interventions that promote meaningful progress and long-term success. She strongly believes that every individual has the capacity to learn and thrive when provided with appropriate teaching strategies, support systems, and an environment that fosters growth and development.

What drives Thurga most in her work is witnessing the progress and achievements of the individuals and families she serves. She finds great fulfilment in celebrating both small and significant milestones and remains passionate about empowering individuals to build independence, develop confidence, and acquire meaningful skills that enhance their quality of life and overall well-being.

Pavitra Paramesuvaran

Supervisor

M.Ed in Clinical Mental Health Counseling

Pavitra Paramesuvaran is a Clinic Supervisor and Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) therapist with extensive experience supporting children with diverse developmental and behavioural needs through compassionate, evidence-based interventions. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wichita State University.

Since returning to Malaysia in 2023, Pavitra has worked closely with children and families across a range of developmental profiles, specialising in the delivery of individualised ABA therapy programmes that promote communication, adaptive skills, social development, and behavioural growth. Her experience includes conducting behavioural assessments, designing and implementing intervention programmes, monitoring client progress, and providing ongoing parent consultation and support.

As a Clinic Supervisor, Pavitra provides clinical guidance and mentorship to therapists, oversees the implementation of treatment plans, and collaborates with families and multidisciplinary professionals to ensure high-quality, evidence-based care. She is passionate about empowering children to reach their fullest potential while fostering strong partnerships with families built on trust, communication, and shared goals.

Pavitra believes that every child has unique strengths and the capacity to learn, grow, and thrive when provided with the right support and opportunities. She remains committed to creating positive, engaging, and nurturing environments where children can develop meaningful skills that lead to long-term success and independence.
